Duct tape water bottle pencil holder

Ducktivity provided by Ducttapeluver11

This "ducktivity" is great for home use or for at school! You could even attach a magnet and hang it in your locker! It looks good just sitting on the counter at home, too!

Skill Level:

Beginner

Approximate Crafting Time:

0:15

Directions

Print
  • Step 1

Carefully cut your water bottle in half.

  • Step 2

Cut 2 10 inch strips of duct tape.

  • Step 3

Take one of the 10 inch strips and rap it around the bottom of the water bottle half. Then take the other 10 inch strip and rap it around the top of the water bottle half.

  • Step 4

Trim the top of the water bottle half using scissors if there is some of the water bottle left out at the top.

  • Step 5

Take another color of duct tape (you can use the same color, too) and cut little pieces. Make them about 3 inches. Start placing them inside of the water bottle half. Make enough to fill the inside.

  • Step 6

It's time for some designs! Cut a 10 inch piece of another color of duct tape in half.

  • Step 7

Take one strip and rap it around the center of the water bottle half.

  • Step 8

Then take the other half of the strip and cut it into thirds (this just makes it easier to work with).

  • Step 9

Grab your hole puncher and start punching holes in the 3 strips. Make sure you keep the holes you're punching! (this step is optional)

  • Step 10

Start placing the dots above the strip in the center of the water bottle half, and below the strip. Now just stick some pencils and pens in and you're done!
