Amazing Round Purse!
Ducktivity provided by tapeninja13
I personally don't like the traditional square duck tape purses, especially the ones that you need to go out and buy rope and staples and all that junk for. Here's the thing about this purse: it's round, it's cute, and it's 100% duck tape without anything else!
Approximate Crafting Time:1:45
Supplies and Tools:
- Duck tape (1-3 colors)
Make two sheets of Duck Tape Fabric, both the same size. They should be a little bigger than the size you want the purse to be. I suggest using plain tape for this because it's the base, and you'll be using a lot of it. It saves money.
Round the bottem two corners of each sheet.
Cut two slits in each rounded corner. I make mine about two inches long, give or take, and about an inch away from each other.
Take the outer sides of each slit and push inward until they go over the space in between. This is pretty difficult to explain in writing, but you'll know you have it when you have it. It'll make the corner round and push up the side, so it goes from 2-D to 3-D. Do this for each corner.
Take the two now rounded and 3-D sheets and connect them where they are open. Then you have the purse base!
After you've taped them together, you cover the outside of the purse with the color tape of your choice. It can be the same color you've been using, but either way make another layer. More layers means a stronger purse!
The strap is just a long strip of tape folded in half at the short part and taped onto the inside.
The little pattern on the outside is very simple. All you do is rip off a little square-ish piece of tape, and fold it into a flower petal. Then you just stick them on around the purse.
