How to Make a Duct Tape Bracelet

Ducktivity provided by kaitlin

These bracelets are super cute and easy to make.

Skill Level:

Beginner

Approximate Crafting Time:

Directions

Print
  • Step 1

    You will need:

    -Duck brand duct tape

    -Scissors

    -Ruler

    -Stickers/rhinestones (optional)

Make sure you have a clean workspace with all your materials handy.

  • Step 2

Cut a piece of duck tape about 8 to 10 inches long, depending on your wrist size. Use the ruler for measuring.

  • Step 3

Fold the strip lengthwise about halfway, so half the sticky part is covered.

Next, Fold the rest of the sticky part up. You should now have a non-sticky, folded strip of duct tape.

  • Step 4

Decorate the piece with stickers, rhinestones, or other pieces of duct tape. Try stripes or polka dots.

  • Step 5

Close the bracelet with a small piece of duct tape. Ta da! A cute duct tape bracelet! From here, the sky is the limit. With this style of folding, you could make necklaces, pet collars, belts… there’s no limitation on imagination!

I made one of these from this post and soon found it was a bit of a pain to replace the tape that held it around my wrist. You see, I had attatched band buttons to it for some flair, and I needed to take it all off for showers and nights. I then had the "genius" idea of keeping it together with a button holding the ends together. ...It fell off when I was mowing and it got run over. Bye, bye buttons. Be sure that it's secured tightly if you have anything attached to it.

The kids in my youth group wear the duct tape bracelet with 1 inch buttons pinned around them they get at festivals and concerts. They fold the tape so it is in half though. GOOD TIMES.
