Ducktivity provided by Icy
This Spring time purse is sure to be an eye grabber!
Approximate Crafting Time:1:45
Supplies and Tools:
- Any 2 colors of Duck Tape
To start rip 7 strips of one of your colors about 19 inches long. [I used neon pink] Then stick them on top of each other edge on edge to form a sheet of duck tape. It should have one completely pink side, and one completely sticky side.
Cover the sticky side of the sheet with more duck tape until there is no more stickiness. Then trim the sides forming a sheet.
Now repeat steps 1 and 2 so that you have 2 complete duck tape sheets.
In order to form the sides and the bottom of the purse rip or cut a piece of duck tape as long as the sides and bottom of the purse. Then rip another piece the same size and stick them on top of each other.
To tape the sides simply wrap a piece of tape around each edge on the inside of the bag, and the outside.
To create the handles, rip or cut a strip of duck tape of your second color [ I used metallic gold] and fold it into thirds length wise. Repeat twice and tape the handles on to the inside of the bag. [ For stronger handles you can hot glue the handles and if on low it will not melt the bag.]
To create the petals for your flower rip a small rectangle of tape. Then drag one corner of the tape inwards leaving a bit of stickiness at the bottom. Then do the same to the opposite corner leaving a bit of stickiness also in between the two.
Stick these petals in a circle on your bag forming the outer ring of your rose. Then just keep forming smaller circles inside one another until you get to the middle. You should end up with a layered beautiful rosey purse!
