Shopper Purse

Ducktivity provided by softballgirl9

I made a duct tape bag from teal and cookie dough colored duct tape. Took some time of the day, but was totally worth it! The inside has a pocket for a phone, Ipod, etc. Great gift idea!

Skill Level:

Approximate Crafting Time:

Supplies and Tools:

  • Teal duct tape
  • Cookie Dough duct tape
  • Scissors
  • Sharpie Marker
  • Ruler

  • Step 1

Make 4 sheets of duct tape, however long your strips are, will be the dimensions of your bag. I used about 12 inch long strips for the 2 large sides, making it 12 x 8. The two smaller sides are 2 8 inch long strips faced horizontally, making them 8 x 3.

  • Step 2

I layed down 1 large sheet, 1 small, then 1 large. As they were layed down, I duct taped them all together. Finally, I added the last 1 small piece to it all together, making it one giant duct tape "ring."

  • Step 3

Next, I made a duct tape sheet, roughly 13 x 8. I took my big "ring" of duct tape, and put it on the 13 x 8 sheet. I used my Sharpie Marker and traced the bottom on the sheet.

  • Step 4

I cut out my traced my circle. I carefully taped it to my "ring," making a bag.

  • Step 5

Now for the handles. I used 1 piece of cookie dough, and 2 of teal. i folded half of it over itself, then folded the other half over. I did this for all 3, and braided them together. Then, taped it to my bag. Repeat for the other handle
