Small Leopard Messenger Bag

Ducktivity provided by char3535

I made this bag in 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes.. It is very easy to make but the button is a bit tricky to sew on if you have never sewed before. I have gotten lots of compliments on this bag. I hope you like it!

Skill Level:

Beginner

Approximate Crafting Time:

1:15

Supplies and Tools:

  • leopard duck tape
  • gold duck tape(for design)
  • thread
  • neetle
  • button
  • ruler
  • pen(optional)

Directions

Print
  • Step 1

Make a sheet of leopard duck tape approximately 26'' by 14''.

  • Step 2

Fold in half leaving an approximately 6 inch portion on the top unfolded. This will be your top flap.

  • Step 3

Take two strips approximately 10 inches long and tape the sides of your purse. Leave the flap untaped.

  • Step 4

Sew on your rather large button approximately 2 1/4 inches away from the top of your purse and in the exact middle.

  • Step 5

Cut a hole in your flap approximately 3/4'' away from the bottom of the flap and exactly in the middle. Make it a little bit smaller than the button itself, duct tape is surprisingly stretchy. Make sure the hole and the button line up so they fit together perfectly.

  • Step 6

Cut a strip of duck tape approximately 32 1/2'' and fold it in half lengthwise. This will be your strap.

  • Step 7

Cut two pieces of small duck tape and use them to tape the strap to the inside of the bag. Reinforce with more small pieces.

  • Step 8

Your almost done! Cut a skinny strip of gold duck tape as long as your flap and apply it to the bottom edge to make the simple design. Fold any excess to the back of the flap. Your done!
