Frog Tri-Fold Wallet

Ducktivity provided by rachiebrockz

This is a unique wallet that i made. I created the wallets layout myself. Hope you enjoy!

Skill Level:

Intermediate

Approximate Crafting Time:

1:45

Supplies and Tools:

  • Duck Brand Tape
  • Xacto knife
  • Packing Tape
  • Ruler
  • Clear plasstic

Directions

Print
  • Step 1

Lay out all of the materials for the project so you are orginized.

  • Step 2

Lay out 4 17" strips of duct tape. Then cut all at the 8 1/2" mark so you end up with 8 pieces.

  • Step 3

Place one piece of tape SSU(sticky side up). Then place another on top, leaving about 1/4 " sticky side on the bottom. Then flip over. The next strip has to line up with the one below(as shown in picture). Do this(2nd part) until all of the strips are lined up.

  • Step 4

Trim off the excess sticky pieces. That include the 1/4" sticky part you made in the last step.

  • Step 5

Next fold the duct tape sheet in half. Make one strip of tape as ling as the width of your duct tape. Cut the piece in 2. Then connect the sides.

Optional: Use a ruler and cut to make clean edges.

  • Step 6

Make 8 dtrips as long as the width of your wallet. When this is complete, stick 2 pieces together to create pockets. Do not trim anything until noted in these steps.

  • Step 7

This is what your pockets should look like after step 6 is complete.

  • Step 8

Optional: you can add a trim to your pockets to make them look nicer. Just make a strip the length of your pocket and either cut it in half or in quarters. Then place the strip along the top brim of the pocket. You can make a line with a pen or marker to ensure that the trim is strait.

  • Step 9

Fold your wallet into thirds. Cut another strip the same length of your pocket and cut it in half. Put one half on 1pockt and one half on another pocket. The place the first pocket on the left side of the wallet. Place this before the fold line. Next place the second pocket on top of the first, but move this one back slightly.

  • Step 10

Next make one strip the width of the pocket. Then cut in half. Use one half to secure the bottom of the pockts and one for the top. Trim if needed.

  • Step 11

Repeat step 10 on the right side of the wallet.

  • Step 12

Take a piece of clar plastic and a credit/gift card(for size). Cut out around the card leaving a little extra space around it. Then cus out one strip equal to the width of the plactic. Cut 3 stips out of this one, making each 1/2 wide.

  • Step 13

Then place the strips on the placstic. After, place in the center of your wallet.

  • Step 14

Place some duct tape on that table/mat. Trace around the body of the frog. When this is cut out, continue to do the inside details, going from the largest details to the smallest until complete

  • Step 15

Place the finished frog onto the outside of the wallet

  • Step 16

Then place packing tape on the front of the frog so it does not peel. Congratulation you have completed your wallet!!
