What is Stuck at Prom®?
The Stuck at Prom® Scholarship Contest challenges students to create and accessorize their prom outfits with duct tape, then wear them to prom for a chance to win scholarship cash prizes.

What are the significant dates of the contest?
The contest timeline is as follows:
- Entry Period Begins - Wed, March 7, 2012
- Entry Period Ends - Wed, June 13, 2012
- Top 10 Announced - Mon, June 18, 2012
- Voting Begins - Mon, June 18, 2012
- Voting Ends - Wed, July 11, 2012
- Winners Announced - Thurs, July 12, 2012

What are the scholarship prizes?
First Place: $5,000 each.
Second Place: $3,000 each.
Third Place: $2,000 each.
The seven remaining "runners up" couples will each receive $500. The school that hosted a winning
couples' prom will also receive the same prize amount for that winner. (Example: The school of the First Place winner will receive $5,000, the school of the Second Place winner will receive $3,000, and so on.)

If I enter, does Duck® brand supply the tape?
No, every contestant is responsible to supply the Duck Tape® brand duct tape needed to create their outfits. This applies to both individuals and schools.

Yes, it is important that you are aware of and adhere to all contest rules and regulations to prevent your entry from being disqualified.

Entry Requirements
When is the entry period for the contest?
You can enter Stuck at Prom 2012 starting Monday, March 7, 2012. The entry period ends Monday, June 13, 2012.

Who can enter the contest?
Legal residents of the United States and Canada, including the District of Columbia, but excluding Maryland, Vermont, Colorado, Puerto Rico and the Province of Quebec,
who are at least 14 years of age or older. You must also attend a high school, home school association or other school-sanctioned prom in 2012.

How do I enter?
Become a member of the Duck Tape Club® to begin your entry submission process. From there, submit at least one photo of you and your date wearing your Duck® brand
duct tape prom attire, along with all required entry information, at StuckAtProm.com during the contest period.

Can I submit a photo taken by a professional photographer?
Yes, but a photography release form signed by the photographer must accompany the submission.

When can we start making our outfits?
You can begin creating your outfits anytime, but you can only enter them during the contest period.

How do I know if my outfit is infringing on copyrighted material?
It's simple - if you are using the work of someone else, then you are infringing on his or her rights under copyright law. This includes characters from movies,
books and video games; sports, brand and other logos; album covers and lyrics from bands or musicians; pieces of art and more.
We want to see unique, colorful and original designs created by you. If you use any of the above - or any other copyright-protected material - you and your
date will be subject to disqualification at the discretion of our Stuck at Prom and legal teams.

Do I need to wear my outfit to prom to be eligible?
Yes. We require at least one photo of you and your prom date in Duck® brand duct tape prom attire, but the location in the photo can vary (before, during or after prom).

I'm home schooled - can I still enter?
Yes. The Official Rules state that you must attend a high school, home school association or other school-sanctioned prom held in 2012 to be eligible.

Do both entrants have to be in high school to enter?
High school enrollment does not matter for either entrant, as long as you both attend a high school, home school association or other school-sanctioned prom held in 2012.

Do I need to have a date to enter?
Yes, you must enter as a couple (two individuals - co-ed or same gender are accepted).

Do I have to be in high school to enter?
You must be at least 14 years of age or older and attend a high school, home school association or other school-sanctioned prom in 2012.

Can I enter more than once?
No, only one contest entry per couple will be accepted.

Can I change or update my entry after I submitted it?
No. Once you've entered the contest, we cannot accept any further changes or updates to your contest entry or submitted materials.

How do I know when my entry is approved?
You'll receive an e-mail notification alerting you that your entry has been approved. If your entry was rejected for any reason, you will receive an email notification letting you know.

Will my entry photo appear on the website immediately?
No, we approve all entries and verify submission information prior to posting.

Voting & Top 10 Couples
What does it mean to be selected as a Top 10 Couple?
As a Top 10 Couple, you are competing against nine other couples for the top scholarship prize.

How will we know if we're selected to be in the Top 10?
You will be notified via the contact information you provided (phone number and e-mail address) in your entry submission.

What happens if we make it into the Top 10?
Your entry will be posted online in the Top 10 gallery and will enter an online public voting phase that will last for three weeks.
- The voting phase begins on Mon, June 18, 2012.
- The voting phase ends on Wed, July 11, 2012.
- Couples are encouraged to earn as many votes as possible during the voting period. At the end of the voting period, the couple
with the most valid online votes will be the first place winners. Second and third place couples will also be determined, based on second and third highest totals of valid, online votes.

Are there any other ways to win? What are the Honorable Mention categories?
Even if you're not selected to be a Top 10 Couple, you can still win a prize! This year, six winners will be given "Honorable Mention" Awards in the following categories..
- Best Purse
- Best Corsage
- Best Shoes
- Best Tie
- Best Jewelry
- Best Prop
The same panel of judges that chooses the Top 10 Couples will choose the Honorable Mention Winners, and will be determined using the same voting criteria. Each Honorable Mention
Winner will receive a Duck Tape® Prize Pack, which contains 30, 10-to-20 yard rolls of color and printed Duck® brand duct tape and one Stuffed Trust E Duck.
These awards were made to highlight the best of the rest, so if you have already been chosen as a Top 10 Couple you will be ineligible to receive an Honorable Mention Award.

What is considered a valid online vote? How many times can I vote per day?
A valid online vote is one cast using a legitimate and valid e-mail address. One vote per day per valid e-mail address is allowed.

How can I earn votes?
You are challenged to earn votes during the voting period by promoting yourselves. The possibilities are endless - just be creative! Here are couple ideas to get you started:
- Get the word out! Start with your family, friends, schoolmates, co-workers, etc. Have them to spread your message across their connections as well!
- Share your entry on social networks like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Reddit or your personal blog. It's easy to share and you have the potential to reach a wide audience.
- Talk to your local media. If you need assistance, please feel free to contact, or refer media to, our public relations partner by filling out our media contact form.
- Try grassroots methods - post a sign in your front yard, paint your car windows, or post flyers on local bulletin boards.
