Before you enter your information, let’s make sure you have what you need. This checklist will help you know what to expect before you get started.
If you’re under the age of 18, you will need parental permission to enter the contest.
Essay and Video Submission
Are you submitting a written essay or video, documenting your journey? Make sure you have all of that information ready to go (one of these is required). Video submissions should be no longer than 3-5 minutes, under 500MB in size, and should not contain any brand names or logos other than Duck® Brand (i.e., TikTok watermark) or music you don’t have written permission to use.
You can submit up to five high resolution photos of your outfit. Each image should not exceed 10MB. Make sure to add the photo you would like featured first as the “feature photo”.
- Make sure your photos are high resolution and in focus
- Take photos in natural light
- Avoid using flash
- Make sure your outfit/accessory is the main focus of the photo
- Try to avoid using filters or editing tools
- Be sure to save your photo in .jpg format
If your outfit photos were taken by a professional, they will need to send you a consent form to upload.
Common reasons for disqualification
- The date of birth you’ve provided indicates that you are not 14 years of age or older
- The entry appears to contain a competitor’s brand tape
- It appears the entry is not an original creation
- This entry has won in a previous year
- This entry infringes on third-party copyrights or other protected works
- Only one entry is permitted per single entrant
- This entry is not prom attire comprised of Duck Tape®
- The address you’ve provided is in a state or province with contest and/or sweepstakes restriction laws
- Entrants must be enrolled in a high school or home school association at the high-school level during the 2023-2024 school year
- Entrants must submit at least one photo showing themselves wearing their creation. Creation may not be worn by anyone other than the entrant
