For this project you’ll need: a drill, hacksaw, screwdriver and tape measure

  1. Measure the width of your door with a tape measurer. If your door is less than 36 inches wide, cut the door sweep to size with a hack saw.
  2. Place the door sweep against the inside of your closed door, with the vinyl seal touching the threshold. Then, using the sweep as a guide, mark the hole locations on your door.
  3. Next, drill 1/8 inch holes as marked on your door. Screw the door sweep in place with the screws provided.
  4. Finally, check to make sure there are no gaps between the door sweep and door threshold.
